Alain Fleischer photographer
His work as an artist and photographer is regularly shown in solo and group exhibitions in France and abroad , and has been the subject of a retrospective in 2003 at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie and the Centre Pompidou accompanied by the publication of the catalog the escape velocity (Editions Léo Scheer) . In 2005 and 2006 , retrospective exhibitions of his work in Moscow, Kiev, Seoul, Beijing and Shanghai. In 2008 he published The time laboratories - Writings on film and photography, Volume 1 to Galaade Publishing. In 2009 he was the artistic director of Night of the images at the Grand Palais and the curator read things , things seen in the BNF . He also published Volume 2 of Writings on film and photography - Printing, tremor, Galaade Publishing and queCourts circuit, a novel, Éditions Le Cherche Midi . He participated in 2010 in the Monumenta 2010 at the Grand Palais .
Writer , filmmaker, artist and photographer , Alain Fleicher lives and works between Paris , Rome and Tourcoing .
Studies in modern literature , linguistics, semiotics and anthropology at the Sorbonne and the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales . He has taught at various universities , schools of art, film and photography, and has led numerous master classes in France and abroad .
On Mission of the Ministry of Culture , he created the National Contemporary Art where he is now the director Fresnoy- Studio.
Author of some thirty works of literature (novels, collections of short stories , essays ), Alain Fleischer published in autumn 2006 lover shorts ( autobiography ) by Editions du Seuil.
Director of a few hundred fifty films in genres as diverse as the feature film , experimental cinema or art documentary. His films have been screened at many international festivals such as Cannes, Berlin , Rotterdam , New York, Montreal , Venice and Locarno. He was twice awarded the International Festival of Films on Art in Montreal who has dedicated a tribute to him in 2002.
